Lafayette Dance Team Wins Two State Championships

Lafayette High School’s dance team, coached by Cara Terry, secured two state championships in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s final competition – in the Jazz and Pom divisions. In other top 10 results, Henry Clay placed fourth in Pom, fifth in Game Day, and eighth in Hip Hop. The KHSAA event was Dec. 10 in Winchester.

A day earlier, Lafayette’s competitive cheer team placed seventh in the All-Girls Medium division of the state finals. Meanwhile, Bryan Station was fourth and Tates Creek sixth in the All-Girls Super group, and Frederick Douglass placed fifth in All-Girls Large.
