Fayette County Public Schools congratulates our winners in the spring 2026 eSports State Championships. The LHS Generals SSB1 team from Lafayette High School – made up of Caleb Anjos, Jalin Smart, and Douglas Janes – won top honors in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and DeJuan McMurry of Frederick Douglass High was runner-up in Madden NFL 26.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association sanctions eSports as a sport activity, like archery, bass fishing, bowling, competitive cheer, and dance.
